Tired of not feeling good? We all get what we believe. Every day you have the right to choose how you want to feel and then consciously direct your attention that way. It’s called the law of attraction. If you believe you are worthy of happiness, happiness will come to you because it becomes a conscious – and subconscious – choice. Choosing to focus on feeling good and what makes you happy becomes even more important when we come to the unavoidable forks in the road (called life) that require us to decide. What path you choose is up to you. It really is. If you think you have control you do. If you think you don’t, you don’t. Like Henry Ford said, “If you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right.”

When you stop and think about it, it is very empowering, even if the only “I can’t” that comes up is “I can’t go on like this.” Then ask yourself, “How can I feel better? What do I need to do to feel better?” And once feeling better starts becoming a priority your life, so does happiness. Most importantly, you start retraining your brain to feel good, so when you don’t, you take the bull by the horns and say, “Whoa, I don’t feel good. What can I do to feel better?” This puts you back into the control seat.  And who doesn’t like feeling in control?

The words and thoughts we choose and the internal dialogue we have with ourselves lay the foundation for the “I can” or “I can’t” attitude.

People in the “I can” arena take the disappointing day, set back, race, job loss, divorce, or financial challenge and find a way to make it work out. It is why it’s call working it out. Just like a workout, you work through our stress, issues, get ready for the day, recover from the day. Workouts – physically or mentally, challenge us and nudge us along to help keep or make our bodies healthy or heal or just let go. Because you know what? It feels good! And when you take on the “I have a right to feel good” state of mind, you naturally become more motivated. It’s your why. Your why for being, for committing to something you do have control over, like feeling good.  We all the right and ability to choose how we want to show up and live our life every day. We just need to hit the pause button and say, how do I want to feel today?
